History of the PVCA:
This community organization started during a dinner conversation about the need for a community cemetery. As the conversation continued, more people got involved and assistance (in the form of a $40,000 grant from the Legislature of the State of Alaska) was provided to begin the process.
In December 2007, the PVCA was incorporated (Alaskan Entity #113065). In 2008, we opened the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. In 2009, we began building the Pleasant Valley Community Center. In May 2017, the PVCA became a public charity under Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 501(c)(3).
